Laos- Accommodation
It was my first adventure to Laos and my main objective was to visit a few of the popular caves in central Laos, Khammouane, spend some time in their capital city, Vientiane and UNESCO-inscribed Luang Prabang over my 8 days there.
Khammouane
As the caves I planned to visit were far apart, I searched for accommodation close to the ones I was visiting, to put up for the night before hitting the caves the next day.
My first stop was Sanhak Guesthouse 1 located at KM 43, Road No. 0A, Namsanam Road, Nahin/Khounkham Village,Ban Nahin-Nai , Khammoun Province, Ban Nahin-Nai, 01000, Laos, where I stayed a night before I explored Kong Lor Cave the next day. The guesthouse was about 42.2 km from the cave.
It was a cosy homestay with a comfortable room, hot shower and a dining area with the kitchen helmed by the owner herself. The kitchen offered dishes like western, thai, soups, salads, drinks and desserts.
The night before I visited Xe Bang Fai Cave, I stayed at Puriphane Resort located at Ban Udomsuk Nakai- Namtheun, 12000 Ban Nakay Nua, Laos. The resort was about 141 km from the cave.
The resort provided a simple room with hot shower.
After I completed my caving adventure en route back to Vientiane, I put up at Phamarnview Guesthouse located at Road No.8, Kong Lor Cave, Ban Nahin Nai, Khammouan Province 01000 Ban Nahin-Nai Laos for the night before I drove about 275 km back to the capital city.
It was a good rest after driving more than 450 km in the day. 😄
Vientiane
By the time I reached Vientiane, it was past mid-day and as I had quite a few places to visit, I stayed 2 nights at Lao Silk Hotel located at Ban Mixai, Francois Ngin Road, Vientiane, 01000 Laos.
Luang Prabang
After I went over to Luang Prabang, I stayed 2 nights at View Khem Khong Guesthouse located at 01/10 Khem Khong Road, Luang Prabang, 1000 Laos.
